Zoo Negara :D

On the 7th of July,20 of our Leo club members, along with our teacher advisor 

,Puan Lai, participated in a volunteer project at Zoo Negara.The project was 

held from 8 am till 4 pm .The members were divided into groups and each 

group was led by a zookeeper. Apparently, each group was assigned to 

different areas like the reptiles, birds, mammals and the list goes on.The 

main purpose of organizing the event was to help the zookeepers and 

understand the conditions they work in.It was also to assist in improving 

conditions of the animals in captivity living at the zoo.

40th Multiple District 308 Leo Forum 2013

Greetings!!

Twenty-seven of the members of our Leo Club attended the 40th Multiple District 308 Leo 

Forum from the 25th to the 27th of May .This event was held at Port Dickson, Negeri 

Sembilan. All the Leo Clubs stayed at Glory Beach Resort and it was a 3 day, 2 night stay. 

The forum theme was "Stay Driven, Stay Inspired".

This year at the Leo forum, we arose as one of the top clubs and here are the awards we

Charity Night :Nuit de l'élégance



On the 20th of April 2013,our Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru organized a massive event that 

many people attended and enjoyed. The event was held at Mutiara Complex Hall, Jalan Ipoh .It 

was from 5.30 pm until 10 pm .The theme of the event was Nuit de l'élégance (Night of 

Elegance in French ).Most of our profit was donated to the Shelter-Home For Children. You can

Movie Charity ! Superman : Man of Steel

On this Saturday,15 of  June 2013, the Leo Club of KL Central  is presenting ''Movie for Charity'' as one of the sub-events for Animal Cruelty Awareness Project. The proceeds will be donated to HOPE Shelter in Johor Bahru!
We are renting the whole hall for you guys!
This event will be held at Golden Screen Cinema,Mid Valley.

Earth Hour Awareness Project

On the 22nd of March, we also give out namecards to the students in our school to promote awareness about earth hour.

On the 23rd of March, a total of 16 leo members attended a event held by our leo club which is the EARTH HOUR AWARENESS PROJECT. The event was held in Kepong Jusco located in Metro Prima. Our main objective is to promote awareness among younger generations about earth hour.
Our event starts from 11am and ends at 2.30pm. Our booth is located infront of the body shop.
We prepared 500 balloons and we managed to give out all the balloons to the children.

Leo of the Month

Done something great, but was never appreciated? 

Well, no worries because this time we are about to change. We'll be observing Leos from time to time for their achievement, participation, leadership skills, communication skills, and so on. A leo or two would be choosen the the LEO OF THE MONTH to receive a special award - a Leo Shirt! 

How interesting huh?!

It's basically to encourage Leos to be more active in time, as well as strengthen their weakness.

CHINESE NEW YEAR SALES!

Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru often organise the CNY sales every year to raise funds for the club to carry out more activities.
This year, our Organising Chairperson , Koh Kai Lin choosen a few cutee and adorable dolls to be sold.

Booths are carried out for morning session and afternoon session during recess for about 5 days. the response was pretty good, as the dolls are really irresistible :D Don't trust me? Check this out:

World Leprosy Day 2013


On the 27th of January, 6 members from the Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru attended the Leprosy day event which was organized by the Lions. The event was held in a Leprosy ward which is named Valley of Hope and is located in Sungai Buloh. Our main objective was to spend some time with the patients and also spread awareness about leprosy.

Also, thank you Lions Club of KL Sentul for having us to join them for this meaningful project.

We definitely learnt something throughout this trip, which is to be grateful of what we have at all times.
