The activities planned was 'Decorating the Christmas tree', musical chairs and so on. We also gave the children goody bags at the end of the day. This is a great opportunity for us, Leos to spend time with the orphans, understand them and cheer them up during this festive season.

Youth Essential Camp (2012)

With more than 120 leos from District 308 B1 being together at Gopeng, Perak, for the past 4 days and 3 nights, it has come to an end. We, as a team, worked together throughout all the activites from the caterpillar game, building a human pyramid, tug-of-war, climbing a 10-feet high wall, passing through the obstacle course, kayaking and more.

It was indeed a wonderful experience especially when we got to know more about our friends, having support from them and also receiving gifts from Santa Claus! Last but not least, the inspirational talk from 4 of the speakers about the 12 keys. These 12 keys definitely would be beneficial to the campers, us to be a great person in life. This is the best camp I've ever been to with lots of memories to be cherished! Say YES to YES CAMP! ROAR ROAR ROAR! ♥

Leo Garden and Whiteboard project.

On the 25th of October 2012, the Leo club of SMK Kepong Baru decided to gather a small group of members to help in cleaning the whiteboards and graph boards of the school and also to clean and beautify our Leo garden. There were 13 members who volunteered to help out that day. Before the volunteers got started on their respective jobs, Leo Chui Chin split the volunteers into two groups and also gave a short briefing. The first group consisted of 5 people whilst the second group consisted of 8 people.

Before that, the volunteers moved the plants that Pn Rebecca bought from her car to the garden and also brought out the tools necessary for planting and also some rags and thinner to clean the whiteboards.  After everything was prepped, the two groups set out to their respective jobs. The first group split up into groups of 2 and 3 so that they could get the job done faster. On the other hand, the second group was hard at work in softening the soil and planting the new plants to restore the Leo garden to its former glory.

Halfway through the activity, Lion James called for a small ceremony in order to present the OC badges to deserving Leos and also to give a short but encouraging speech to the Leos to keep up the good work. After the plants were planted and watered and the whiteboards were cleaned, the Leos took a short lunch break before going back home.

In a nutshell, the whiteboard cleaning and Leo garden activity was a success.  Lastly, the Leo club of SMK Kepong Baru would like to give thanks to the Lions and faculty advisors who found the time to come and support us in this activity. Thank you.
